Estes Park sits at an elevation of 7,522 feet on the front range of the Rocky Mountains at the eastern entrance of the Rocky Mountain National Park. This small little town of approximately 5000 to 6000 residents is located on the Big Thompson River and is home to some of the friendliest folks you will find in Colorado.

This small little mountain town has very little violent crime, despite the fact that Stephen King wrote much of "The Shining" while staying in Estes Park at the Stanley Hotel. There are also other historic sites such as the Estes Park Area Historical Museum and the MacGregor Ranch Museum.
The population of the town is nearly evenly divided between males and females and the population is predominately white. The median income is roughly $69,000 per year.
