Internet Access

Despite the stunning beauty and incredible craggy heights of Rocky Mountain National Park, situations often call for a reconnection with family, friends or even business colleagues - something simply done with a laptop, computer and the Internet. Though services are available with a paid room at many hotels and other lodgings, those with laptops can enjoy varied places for free Wi-Fi access. For those needing a computer and broadband access, local facilities are also available.

Whether going to or from Rocky Mountain National Park, finding Internet access, broadband and Wi-Fi, is easy to do. Though the area may be an experience in reconnecting or exploring the great outdoors with wilderness adventures, even the most enthusiastic traveler needs to connect to the outside world at some point. Business travelers are especially reliant on the Internet.

There are five main spots to go to, outside of the motels, hotels and other lodgings that offer paid or inclusive Internet access with paid accommodation. The area of Estes Park is found on the park's eastern side and Grand Lake sits just to the west, both servicing the needs of Internet savvy travelers. Estes Park has five Wi-Fi locations, including Kind Coffee (470 E Elkhorn Avenue), the Notch Top Cafe (457 E Wonderview Avenue), the Estes Park Public Library (Elkhorn Avenue, across from the Municipal Building) and Estes Park Computers (457 E Wonderview Avenue). There is also a Wi-Fi hotspot provided for free through epFree (a free local wireless website requiring registration and a password), which can be reached from virtually every part of Estes Park. Grand Lake has free access and computers for those without laptops at the Juniper Branch of the Grand County Library (316 Garfield Street), with a username and password provided by the circulation desk.
