Safety Information for Rocky Mountain National Park, CO:
You might not think about safety very much on a vacation but remember a few things while exploring this area of Colorado.

  • Dehydration: Always drink lots of water even when it is cold. Dehydration can lead to high altitude sickness and hypothermia.
  • Hypothermia: Bring lots of layers when you venture out of Estes Park and into the National Park. Temperatures can change quickly and drastically.
  • Driving: The mountain roads in the Rockies are busy with visitors. Take care when driving.
  • Call 911 in case of emergency.
