Estes Park, Colorado is home to the Wool Market, celebrated the second weekend in June. The Wool Market is one of the largest all-natural fiber markets in North America, drawing more than 10,000 spectators during its two-day event. Estes Park Wool Market is open to the public and is located at the Stanley Park Fairgrounds.

This fiber festival in the Rockies is a weekend full of exhibits, demonstrations, competitions and vendor booths. Learn to spin yarn or browse the Wool Market where cashmere, mohair, angora, and wool products are exhibited and sold.

Demonstrations during the weekend include shearing, fiber preparation, spinning and weaving. You can even learn how to pack a llama for hiking or hunting. One of the most popular attractions is the Children's Tent where visitors of all ages participate in rope weaving, spinning and loom weaving.

Sheep dog herding and sheep shearing demonstrations are also quite impressive. These demonstrations are held four times a day while announcers provide play-by-play explanations. Judging contests of goats, rabbits, sheep, llamas, and alpacas, along with fleece contests are held throughout the weekend.
