Grand Lake, the oldest tourist town in Colorado, has maintained the image of the old west with its wooden boardwalks and its multitude of rich traditions and celebrations held throughout the year. One of the many celebrations held throughout the summer months is the famous Grand Lake Buffalo Barbecue.

This annual barbeque is packed full of music, a 5K run/walk, bingo, a pancake breakfast on Saturday, and a parade on Sunday. This is an all day event and runs for three days.
