Grand Lake Spring Fishing Contest
Surrounded by Shadow Mountain Lake, Grand Lake, Rocky Mountain National Park, and Arapaho National Recreation Area, the village of Grand Lake offers a varied combination of mountain and water pleasures. And one of these is Grand Lake's Spring Fishing Festival. For both the fishing enthusiast, or a chronic festival buff, this annual event is not to be missed!
Grand Lake has it all! With nearby man-made Shadow Mountain and Granby Reservoirs, there are three recreational lakes offer more than 150 miles of scenic shoreline for camping, fishing or hiking.
The Grand Spring Fishing Contest is held the third weekend in May. For this avid angler, it is an occasion to behold. There's fun, festivities and lots and lots of fishing!
There's something for the whole family, especially if fishing is not their thing. They can stroll the lake boardwalk; rent a boat or take a tour around the lake; skip stones across the water; or play on the sandy beach.
