If you love fly-fishing, Estes Park in Colorado is a destination you must visit at least once in your life. Rocky Mountain National Park has a wide range of rivers and alpine lakes perfect for fishing. Fall River in Horseshoe and the Big Thompson in Moraine Park are also favorites.

This area boasts some of the world's most famous streams, creeks, rivers, ponds, and lakes. The waters in the region are overflowing with trout.

Fishing was a popular activity with the early settlers in the Rocky Mountains. To make fishing better in the area, however, they stocked many streams with non-native species of trout. They also moved trout populations to lakes and streams with smaller amounts of fish.
