At 4 p.m. park rangers found a man's body on a snowfield above Cony Lake in the Hutcheson Lakes drainage near the southern boundary of Rocky Mountain National Park. At this time, the cause of death is unknown.

On Saturday, choose from a 'Get to Know Your Forest' free guided ride for beginners from 2-3 p.m.; a Snow Mountain Ranch free guided ride for beginner and intermediate riders from 1:45-3 p.m.; or a Doc Susie Guided Ride with a stop at Cozens Ranch for beginners from 2-4 p.m.
The Doc Susie trip will cost $5 for adults, $4 for seniors, and $3 for students to cover the entry fee to the museum. Ages 6 and under are free. Guests need to sign up for the guided tours at the Visitor Center and will receive more information on where to meet for the rides. Everyone who signs up for a guided ride gets a free T-shirt.
From 3-7:30 p.m. games and activities will take place in Hideaway Park. A Skate Board demo starts at 3 p.m. followed by the Big Air Mountainboard Show from 3:30-7:30 p.m. with live music by Ohm Tribe at 4 p.m. an

The biggest bike event of the summer at the resort, and one of the most-televised bike events in Colorado, Crankworx offers interactive events for guests and athletes alike.
Pulling from tradition in Whistler, where Crankworx has long been a huge draw for athletes and spectators alike, the Winter Park event attracts some of the biggest names in the world of mountain biking.
The festival is free to spectators. A demo and vendor village will be open at the base all weekend.
Friday features two events: super downhill, from 9:45 a.m. to noon on the Super D course, and best trick, from 2-5 p.m. in Sorenson Park.
Rose Hill Drive performs for free in the Village Plaza at 5:30 p.m., and the Official Crankworx After Party (21 and over) kicks off at Doc's Roadhouse from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m.

The divisions along political party lines reach their crescendos during election seasons. To be sure, we cannot escape the duopoly system that the two major parties have created for themselves.
I say duopoly because when we take a close look at the major policies of war and finance in Washington, many of us begin to recognize that there is little difference at the top. I've seen bad Republican policies of bailouts, pre-emptive wars, and expanding government accelerate under this Democratic administration.
So, let's stop sniping between the parties down here in our communities. Why not look for the things that unite us?
For instance, I know of no hard-working Americans who like big government in their business and pocketbooks every time they turn around. I know of no hard-working Americans who believe that some big government bureaucrat can make better decisions for their families than they can make for themselves.
