Visitor Centers
There are several Visitor Centers in Rocky Mountain National Park all of which contain a wide variety of information.
The visitor center is the place to start your adventure in Rocky Mountain National Park. Here you can pick up information on hiking, camping, snowshoeing and cross-country skiing.
The Visitor Centers of Rocky Mountain National Park are located throughout the Park. They are open at different times throughout the year.
Alpine Visitor Center
- Location - At Fall River Pass at the junction of Trail Ridge and Old Fall River roads
- Hours – Open daily from mid-May through mid-October
- Facilities/Services – Information, exhibits, book and gift store, snacks available, accessible restrooms
Beaver Meadows Visitor Center
- Location – On U.S. Route 36, three miles from Estes Park
- Hours – Open daily year-round except Christmas Day
- Facilities/Services – Information, films, reserve backcountry camping sites, book and gift store, accessible restrooms
Fall River Visitor Center
- Location - On U.S. Route 34, five miles west of the town of Estes Park, near the Fall River Entrance to the park
- Hours – Open year-round, but only open on weekends during the winter
- Facilities/Services – Information, book and gift store, hands-on exhibits for kids, accessible restrooms, café
Kawuneeche Visitor Center
- Location - One mile north of the town of Grand Lake on U.S. Route 34 at the entrance to the park
- Hours - Open daily year-round except Christmas Day
- Facilities/Services - Information, films, reserve backcountry camping sites, book and gift store, accessible restrooms
Moraine Park Visitor Center and Museum
- Location - Off the Bear Lake Road, 1 1/2 miles from the Beaver Meadows Entrance
- Hours – Open seasonally from late April through mid-October
- Facilities/Services – Information, book and gift store, handicapped accessible museum, accessible restrooms
National Park Service staff and the staff of the individual concessionaires are available at the visitor centers to answer any questions which you may have and to give you guidance and directions as you plan your visit to the rest of Rocky Mountain National Park.
