Any national park is the property of the people and as such, to preserve and protect it, there are in place definite rules and regulations which must be followed by all visitors.

Rocky Mountain National Park is subject to the standard regulations of all national parks, but it is advisable to review the specific park guide to familiarize yourself with the particular rules and regulations for this area.

Each national park has its own specific rules and regulations and Rocky Mountain National Park is no exception.

Pets are allowed in the park, but are not allowed on the trails or in the backcountry. Pets must be kept on a leash at all times and are only allowed along the roadways and in the parking lots.

Camping is only allowed in the designated areas or campsites.
