Biking by its very nature allows you to travel longer distances while seeing the countryside up close and in detail. Choosing to bike with others or on your own, you'll be richly rewarded each day as you explore the Rocky Mountain region's most scenic routes.
Mountain riding can present many different riding conditions. It is important that those considering a motorcycle tour are in reasonable physical condition and are accustomed to spending several hours in the seat of a motorcycle.
Be prepared for temperatures between 10 and 35 degrees Celsius. It is recommended that both riders and passengers bring good warm clothing and rain gear.
The following may be required with motorcycle tour companies.
- All riders must have a valid motorcycle drivers license
- A minimum of two years & 10,000km riding experience is required.
- Both riders and passengers must wear a DOT approved helmet and protective eyewear at all times on the motorcycle.
- Riding gloves and proper footwear are required.
- All riders must be at least 25 years old.
- The use of drugs or alcohol are strictly forbidden while riding.
- All riders must be comfortable riding in a variety of conditions including rain, twisty mountain roads, switch backs and the possibility of gravel or debris on the pavement.
- All riders must be comfortable operating a large displacement modern motorcycle.
