A whole assortment of big game outfitting and guide services are available in Colorado to suit a wide variety of needs, whether you are a big game hunter, hunt with bow and rifle, go out on non-guided big game excursions, or attend drop camps on private Colorado ranches.
Non-guided hunts are popular because they cost a fraction of a fully guided hunt. When only a few big game hunters are selected for the ranches each year you get access to stellar Colorado elk hunting, mule deer hunting, and antelope hunting. Because the private lands are controlled, you have a better chance of successfully hunting elk, mule deer, and antelope.
In the past, rifle hunters have experienced a success rate of more than 50% on 4-point or better bull elk, more than 90% success on buck mule deer, and 100% success on buck antelope.
